dreaming of this.

today the weather in nashville is miserable. pure blizzard. i hate it.

so my husband is taking me to go buy a spring dress! I am happy. We are making homemade apple cidar and vegan chili tonight for the super bowl party tomorrow, we are excited to make chili, to keep warm!

today i am wishing i was in Greece again, traveling aimlessly in Europe, with no agenda, a small backpack and an even smaller bank account. New adventures waking me up early in the morning, packing all of my belongings in a short 3 minute. Eating food off the streets from vendors, fresh hot crepes with nutella and so many marvelous things.

I am ready to be warm. to be free in my many sun dresses. I never was good at dressing in fall cloths...drab.

for your sweet blue ocean eyes

making january fun.

[after a long day of gluten/dairy/sugar free crackers, no dairy caesar dressing, fish, and I don't remember everything else we cooked! my mother's awesome kitchen, I love baking here]

my husband has been gone for about 2 weeks and I have had no inspiration to bake/cook. I just hate cooking a ton of food and then having no one to eat it except me! Occasionally I can auction some of my food off to my family, but they live too far away to enjoy it daily!

But my love came home yesterday and we just had a very lazy day. Our thursday consisted of laying around, naps, reading Fox's book of martyrs, new pomegranate soy candles, playing with wizard, almond butter snacks and making pizza!

Robert said he was craving pizza, so I got up, made dairy-free almond/cashew milk cheese, and gluten/sugar/dairy free pizza dough. I had some homemade tomato sauce I made a while ago that I pulled out and we had a great dinner! Complete with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and soy mozzarella! So good!

[dairy-free cheese! finished pizza!]

This morning I woke up at 6:30 am with my husband because he is still on his travel schedule: go to sleep at 9pm, wake up at 6am! no fun. But I was quick to forgive him when I smelled almond meal pancakes smothered with agave nectar! Oh man was that the best thing he could do to wake me up!

Freshly ground Mcpherson, Kansas coffee, french pressed and gluten-free almond meal pancakes topped with almond butter. Oh my gosh, my husband is so wonderful to me. What did I do to deserve a man that loves me and loves to be in the kitchen just as much as me! He is so glorious!

[woke up to my husband making me gluten/sugar/dairy free pancakes]

[he is happy to be home]

A couple of days ago I went to the apple store and spotted this lovely lady:

[sighting: Melinda Doolitle, The Apple Store, Greenhills Mall, Nashville, TN]

[Okay, well none of my family/friends knew who she was, she was 2nd runner up on American Idol a few years back, she went to Belmont and lives in Nashville]

to last week I got to spend 5 days with my awesome family! It was so great, I went to work with my siblings, which happens to double as the family business! It was great! Driving around, lot's of smoky car shops, and some friendly shopping to set up my sister's new office!

[all 3 of the 4 Ellis siblings in the same car, alone. first time this happened in a long time]

[a shopping day with my sister..not the shopping I was planning on doing...office supplies]

9 months.

[little festival in Kansas, sweet, young love]

i am dedicating this post to my sweet husband, Robert Pritchard. Today, we have been married 9 months! And although that's not quite a year, I don't want to wait to share some sweet pictures of us together! I realized this week that if we had gotten pregnant on our honeymoon, I would be having a baby right now! ahh, so happy I am not! I love being married to an awesome man, and experiencing so much life with him every day! I cannot wait for my 1 year anniversary!

I love you Robert Lawson Pritchard! I am sad we aren't together on this day, but I love everything about you and I cannot wait to see you in a few days!

I love my husband so much and I am thrilled to be able to call him my one and only love.
I love his generosity and his compassion.
i love how sweet and gentle his eyes are.
his love for manly outdoor things makes my heart flutter.
i love how driven and motivated he is.
i love how passionate he is.
i love his heart.
i love him.

i love you robert pritchard.

new name.

so tomorrow is my anniversary of being married for 9 months!

i will be writing a very sweet post tomorrow about that!

as for today, there are a few things that I'm so inspired to do right now!

I found these adorable little wooden birds, and I must teach myself to make them [or make robert figure it out, haha]

also i made this apron a few months back and I am 1/2 way done with 8 more of them. for various gifts and I just need to finish them. they are just too cute to let the adorable fabric go to waste!

and my garden! I am so excited about my raised bed's this year! this way we can take it with us anywhere!

thinking veggies around the 1st tier and my herbs on the 2nd tier!
hoping i can get robert to make me a few of these next week!

also, seeing as i've decided to cut out most sugars, and all refined sugars, I thought my blog should no longer be called "raw sugar" so whilst i think of some other clever name, I remain "sweet nectar."

until further notice!

my dear friends, Julie + Josh Holmes had the incredibly animated baby girl:

I got to hold her all morning last week, i felt so special.
